The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Sonic. The contact stated that the wiring under the hood had a soy based coating on it, which attracted animals to chew threw the wiring. As a result, all the lights and gauges on the instrument panel failed. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the wires and cords needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 9,205. MA 10/8 updated 3/22/16 updated 10/18/2017
