Anytime I fuel my car and try to start it the car stalls out. Whether I fuel it all the way, halfway, or wait a couple of minutes. It's very odd. The car will start and idle very low and then shut off as well as smoke a little. It happens a couple of times until finally I am able to move the car and rev the engine a little to get it going again. The funny thing is though the car runs perfectly fine after this. It happens only when fueling. I checked the cap already and it is fitted properly. I believe it has to do with the purge valve solenoid and I will update if that fixes the problem.
Update from Jan 2, 2017: I got these two codes about a month before this fuel issue started happening. P0171 (System Too Lean Bank 1), P0496 (Evaporative Emission System High Purge Flow). The purge solenoid might clear the codes as well.
Update from Jul 28, 2017: I replaced the "Vapor Canister Purge Valve" ACDelco Part # 55573017. It was $22.00 on Amazon [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007QB8JA4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1] It was very easy to replace, just needed a flat head to help get the connectors out. There are videos showing how to replace it. After replacing this part, my car no longer stalls after fueling, and both codes went away.
