The contact owns a 1995 Chevrolet Suburban 1500. The ABS speed sensor in the front passenger side wheel was either disconnected or missing. The transmission shifted from first to second gear properly, but shifted from second to third or third to overdrive while revving up. When the air conditioning system was activated, smoke began pouring out of the dashboard. The current mileage was 193,767 and failure mileage was 193,000.

This the third trasmission that has been repaired on this vehicle, and even though there is a recall on 1995 Suburban for a thin transmission case, I was told mine does not qualify.
