My wife was driving our 2000 Suburban on the interstate when she heard a loud sound which sounded like something hit the vehicle. Upon investigation, we saw that the top of the rear window had an indenting like something had hit it and damaged the rear glass. So we filed a complaint with state farm and took it to a body shop. The body shop looked at it and said that the damage was caused by the right hinge breaking which holds the rear glass to the body. The hinge just broke on its own. After further investigation, I have found other people who have had a similar experience. It will cost about $1000 to repair this as there is no formal recall at this point in time.
