problem #1

Nov 052010

Suburban LT 5.3L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,000 miles

Vehicle went into reduced power mode while driving along with Stabilitrak and traction control messages. Vehicle would not accelerate over idle. Had to shut down and restart vehicle in order to get it to go again until it happened again. Took to dealership and they cleaned the throttle body. Vehicle ran fine for a couple of day and did the same thing. Back to dealership and they replaced the throttle body.

Fast forward to January 2014 and the problem is back. 3 years 2 months and about 30k miles later. I replace the throttle body again and now vehicle is fine again. But this was the last straw with this vehicle. Traded it in yesterday. My apologizes to whoever buys it. Had two GM SUVs and they will be my last GM SUVs.
