problem #1

The passenger front door started creaking whenever we would open or close it. It also started becoming very hard to open all the way. Creaking was very loud and sounded like something was damaged. Took it to dealer and they quoted upwards of $500 for a new hinge assembly. We didn't opt for it, seeing as the part can be found for more like $20-30 on eBay and other sites. Instead, we sprayed a decent amount of WD40 into the roller bearing within the hinge and voila, the problem was resolved. Occasionally needs some more WD40, but i'd rather just keep doing that then pay $500+ for a new hinge that will have the same problem eventually as well.
