The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while driving approximately 75 mph, the "service four wheel drive" warning message and the system stability warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to three independent mechanics. The technician diagnosed that the transfer casing failed and caused the selector switch and the stability system to fail. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 85,000.

The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated the "service 4-wheel drive" warning message illuminated on the contact's instrumental panel. The contact repaired the selector switch for the four-wheel drive however, the contact stated that while later driving 75 mph, the vehicle independently switched from 2 -low to 4 -high. The stability track then became disabled and the rear of the vehicle began to sway abnormally. The contact took the vehicle to three independent mechanics for diagnostic testing. All of the mechanics stated that the transfer case or transfer box would need to be repaired. The manufacturer and dealer were made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 85,000.
