While taking my son to school, problem started. Started my Tahoe, placed in reverse. Noticed my mileage/odometer was not working (blank). The PNRD23 is faded, but can still see, barely

Tahoe LTZ 5.3L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 175,000 miles

This not an isolated problem and just on this site I have document 5 other exact complaints. GM had done a recall on the models up to the 2005 models but did not include this model. I am sure that there are a lot more that have not been reported to this site. I am very disappointed in the amount of complaints that they have had on this model Chevrolet Tahoe such as oil use and misfire, electrical issues, water retaining in doors and peeling paint on door handles which I am experiencing all these same problems with mine.

Also when I speak with my repair technician he confirms that he has seen the same problems from other owners. When I met with the Chevrolet customer service rep about the oil use of about a quart between oil changes he said it was normal which is ridiculous because it started at about 40,000 miles.

I have also replace the cam shaft position sensor twice. Also with the parking assist the passenger outside mirror does not reset fully to its original position when placing the car back in the drive position and I have to readjust the mirror manually to its original position. The climate control actuator is not working properly giving cold air on one side and hot on the other which I find in a common problem with GM products.

To be a car this expensive and with all these problems it is very disappointing when I had a 2003 Tahoe and had none of these problems. God give us grace to deal with these issues as Chevrolet or GM won't help us.
