I love my 2008 Tahoe. With the split 4/8 it is a great vehicle for mileage. However, in the fall last year I started having trouble with my speakers/alarms/cruise control/passenger air bag and blinkers. The cruise control was the first thing I started having trouble with. It would connect when I did engage it but it would go off if I hit a bump. I thought my brakes were too touchy. Then it got to where it wouldn't engage at all. Or it would and would go off almost immediately. Shortly after that started, my speakers went. I only had one small one in the passenger side that worked and the sound was so annoying I just shut it off. Then my battery indicator went wonky and my oil sensor went out (or seemed to). I had it checked on a computer and the only problem they found was an oil sensor was bad but showed something with my brake sensor too. In February my cruise control went completely out. Will not engage or even act like it wants to. My radio comes and goes and my alarms do the same. They work, but so quietly you can barely hear them. Last month (March) my oil system went out. Just the sensor but the warning lights came on and the message center said to shut off my engine. Kind of scary when you are alone on a small country road miles from home. Makes it difficult to drive as much as I do without my radio or my cruise control and all those crazy things happening. Noticed my traction control, tire pressure sensors and other warning lights have been coming on and off. I don't want to take it to the shop and have them tell me they don't have any clue what it is or "fix" it and charge me an arm and a leg (they want $380 just to look at it) and still not have my cruise or radio back. If anyone has a fix or knows if there is a recall for this system, please let me know. I'm going to go nuts. I do love my Tahoe but am quickly losing patience.
