Trailblazer

I have had my trailblazer for about 4 years. One day it would not start. I thought I had left the panel lights on all night. No big deal, get a jump start. Im back in business.. 4 days later, dead again. Buy new battery, dead in 6 days. New alternator, new battery. Thinking Im good. Dead again. Been to 3 different mechanics, one a chevy dealership and they tell me they cant find anything. All fuses have been checked! HELP!!!

Trailblazer LS

  • Automatic transmission
  • 75,000 miles

At the most terrible times the truck just refuses to start. All lights come on (dash, headlights) but when you turn the key..NOTHING! No clicking etc. Usually you just sit tight and wait 15 min. and it start right up. This happens in no particular pattern but usually between 25-45 starts. Today is the first time it didn't start after 15 min..... I'll try one more time in another 15 min. My husband wants to shoot it and I just try no to park on the RR tracks and shut it off!! I've replaced the battery and the dealer swore it was the ignition switch. I had to call them after about 10 days and say. "Nope, not the answer!!" You wouldn't think it would be so difficult! HELP

Trailblazer LTZ 4.2L I6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 80,000 miles

2002 Trailblazer has some electrical issues, I replaced the low beam bulbs then all hell broke loose. Battery died, decided it might be time for a new one and installed a good quality battery, two days later new battery is dead. Check the headlights to make sure I didn't dink anything up. Find a semi loose connection, yay problem solved....NOT! Battery dies again, jump start the truck and wonder if the alternator is failing, drive for about an hour to see if the battery charges and let it sit for a day. She starts fine! Yay! Drive around all day and park. Next morning at 5am to go to work battery is dead... WTF?! PULL the fuses to the lights to be sure, no issues, charge the battery. a week later the battery is dead again. Got a new battery. SAME THING!!! Maybe the Battery cables?! HELP ME! I'm in the Army so naturally I'm broke as a joke and love my cars!

Trailblazer LX

  • Automatic transmission
  • 51,000 miles

Had vehicle towed to dealership they looked at it and said they thought it may be the security system said if it happens again bring it back. It has happen about 6 times since. There seems to be no clear reason why it does this. I plan on taking it to the dealership that I bought it from next time.

(reported on)

Trailblazer

  • Automatic transmission
  • 62,000 miles

vehicle randomly won't start. Battery, starter, solenoid, fan clutch have all been replaced. dealer shop is clueless. does not malfunction predictably. today the driver window would not close. the first 3-4 years the truck operated with little trouble. have replaced seat adjustment motors and air compressor in past.

COULD THIS BE A COMPUTER PROBLEM, OR RATHER AN UPDATE PROBLEM?
