Trailblazer EXT 4WD V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100,000 miles

Our blazer began overheating out of the blue. We added water and in about three days it was overheating again. Not just a little hot, almost to the red. We have had it looked at twice and our mechanic says it is coming from the rear heating cord, but this hasn't fixed it. Apparently now water goes straight out when you put it in and we have to refill it every time we go somewhere. We figured this out the other day when I was stranded behind a bus after we thought the problem was fixed and I had no where to pull off, even turned motor off while waiting on bus but before I could get off the road it got so hot it turned off on me. I am so afraid what kind of damage has been done to motor.

Trailblazer LT EXT 4.2L V6

We have a slow antifreeze leak in the car, or maybe it just uses it right up I've never really experienced that much consumption before, I live in Vermont we bought it in late January used and we checked the fluids and had to add almost a whole container of antifreeze into the reservoir tank and checked it 2 months later and it was all gone, I've never seen any spots under the vehicle and have no clue where it may be coming from. The temperature is always fine and we had the system pressurized to check it and came back perfect anyone having the same problems? Know whats going on????
