Have replaced fan clutch at a $103.00 expense but did not cure the problem of the roaring sound, and now found out it has something to do with a computer that controles the fan clutch. Since my vehicile isn't under warranty the dealer said it cost around $75.00 to reset the PCM software defect.

Trailblazer EXT L6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,000 miles

Cooling fan clutch was staying fully engaged making the car sound like a school bus. The cooling fan clutch had to replaced, and the fan problem caused the water pump to have to be replaced as well.
