When fueling my 2003 Chevy trail Blazer, gas has overflowed a minimum of (4) times since November of 2003 (when I purchased the vehicle). Two of those times gas sprayed back onto my hand. I had the vehicle into the dealer in late November 2003. They said that Chevrolet knows about the problem, is working on it, and will issue a recall when they have a solution.
