I have a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer lt. The wipers would not shut off after an afternoon shower. I had to pull the fuse in order for them to shut off. I have contacted the manufacture. They have refused to acknowledge that there is a recall for my vehicle. They are stating that there is no such recall for my VIN number. They also stated that there is no such recall for a 2003 Trailblazer. My wish is that the NHTSA would force Chevy to acknowledge and fix the problem, or at least acknowledge the problem and say that they are not going to fix the problem. The idea that this is limited to some 2003 lts, but not others is rather odd to me. For the manf. To say that no such recall exist is rather odd to me. I do not know the exact purpose or legal reach of the NHTSA. I would hope that they could/will force some sort of resolution for the large number of people that have had this same complaint, and the manf. Blantent refusal to acknowledge said issue.

Wipers power on without me turning on the switch. I can not turn them off. Can not defuse them either by removing fuses. Sometimes they will not come on and I can only get them to turn on high. No washer fluid power either. Searched the recall for this vehicle and apparently my VIN isn't covered under the recall for this problem that already had a recall issued in 2004. That recall states the same issues that I'm having. Recall: 2002 - 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer NHTSA campaign number: 04V046000. My Trailblazer is a 2003 but when I called the dealer they stated that my VIN isn't covered. What gives?

Side mirrors continue to adjust when not told to. Every time I get in the car the outside mirrors are moving erratically causing severe inconvenience and basically making the mirrors unusable unless I want to adjust them every time I enter the car.

Windshield wipers would not turn off, even though there was a recall for this problem on 2003 Trailblazers for the same problem, dealer said my VIN number didn't match a recall. Needed car for work so it cost $425 to fix problem. I was told it was a control module.

Side mirrors do not stay in position memorized for driver. Very unsafe when you go to change lanes and the mirrors are pointing to the sky or ground. The dealer has reprogrammed the remotes, but there is no solution. Driver must adjust mirrors every time you turn on vehicle. The problem is much worse if there is a temperature change. This problem has been going on for 5.5 years with this vehicle. Other drivers report the same issue with Trailblazer. Why is there no recall for this" why hasn't Chevrolet found out how to fix this"

I turned my windshield wipers on in my car and they would not shut off. Well, when I got to my location I shut off the car in which they reset themselves or something, it happened a couple of times till today. I turned them on and now they won't shut off no matter what I do. I read online that there have been recalls about this same problem, so I called Chevrolet, and supposedly it doesn't cover my vehicle I am having the same problem as the recalls. My windshield wipers won't shut off. I just can't believe that the same problems that I have with my 2003 Chevy Trailblazer and the recall is the same and they are telling me that my vehicle is not included.

The middle heat and air conditioner blower would not blow air. The defrost and floor blower did blow out air. As of November 2008 none of the blowers blow out air except for brief occasions. If the blower does work then this creates a problem because it won't shut off and the battery goes dead. I've read about several owners with this same issue. The suggested temporary fix for this issue is to look up from the gas pedal and there are two units, one controls the defrost and foot blower and one controls the middle blower which is harder to get to. It has been identified that there there is a pin for each unit that slipped out and needs to be reconnected. One customer indicated it looked like it was meant to fall out at some point, in other words for GM to make revenue for the repair costs. This is extremely frustrated and I request that this is considered as a recall and GM immediately fix this issue at no cost. GM has given an estimated quote of $800 - $900 to fix the actuary. Thank you for your help and this service.

The contact owns a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The air conditioning and heating system would not cool or heat properly. In addition, the radio began shorting out and the blower motor stopped working. The dealer stated that the repairs would be the contact's responsibility because the vehicle was no longer under warranty. He has been to the dealer at least four times and neither the radio nor the vents have worked properly. The failures began within the first year of owning the vehicle. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 37,200.

These are all of the problems fixed at the dealer with this truck so far: Rear sway bar links replaced, rear wiper blade came out of alignment 2 times, right rear door is warped, driver side rear molding is loose, back plate rubber seal out of alignment, windshield wiper tank replaced since it was leaking, A/C low pressure switch inop then replaced, windshield wiper module replaced because wipers would not turn off, sway bar links replaced for a second time. All of these have broken over the past 2 years and nine months and driver's side passenger window for that door is loose. Still is a noise in the front suspension that makes a hard knock onto the steering column but dealer denies hearing it.

Owned 03 Trailblazer for 4 months and has given me electrical & mechanical problems. I had one problem since I first bought this vehicle and now I have 13 things that are a danger to me and my family. Ac turns on by itself whether car is off or on. Ac has turned on while I was driving frightening the hell out of me causing me to almost lose control of the wheel. Ac, engine lacks horse power, hand brake, hazard lights, lights turn off, mirrors move by themselves, car boggs as if it wants to turn off, while driving steering wheel moves by itself, gas gauge has read low fuel when gas is full. I am terrified the car will give out with my child and I in it.I have tried to have vehicle repaired numerous times and still dealer can't seem to duplicate the problem. The vehicle is a hazard to me and my family and to all those who own one. Need the problem to be fixed before any tragedies occur.
