About a month ago, my lift gate clicked every time I opened it. Almost like the lock was trying to rest itself. I took this to a mechanic and said "it isn't anything, might even fix itself"... I'm no dummy, but he sure is! I don't have time during normal business hours to go to the dealership so I neglected it.

Next thing I knew, my key fob no longer worked and my lift gate was locked with no ability to open it. I changed the batteries in my key fob, nothing! My friend has a MODIS computer for diagnostic testing, so he hooked it up...now the lift gate and anything associated with it doesn't work. He basically shut down the BCM components to the lift gate! If I want to lock/unlock lift gate, I must manually do it from inside the lift gate panel. I now have to manually lock/unlock doors!

Can I please gets some assistance with my lift gate problem? Every time my friend went through the BCM to lock/unlock lift gate, the computer said "not communicating". Could the problem be the lift gate modular? Would this problem shut down the key fob or whole security system? Why doesn't rear wiper or defrost work? Please help!
