2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer. Consumer states problem with brakes and traction control light illuminating. The consumer the ABS would activate when making right turns. Several components were replaced, but the consumer continued to experience problems. The blower resistor was replaced due to it only working on high. The engine light illuminated, the fuel sensor was not working, the heat was inoperative, there were noise/creaks coming from the steering wheel when driving slow and making turns, the power windows and heated seats stopped working, the fuel gauge was inaccurate, the 4-wheel drive switch had to replaced, the seat belt was difficult to fasten, the head lights and tail lights sockets burned out, the fan for the heater and defroster stopped working, the transmission would not down shift properly and eventually had to be replaced, the ignition switch didn't always work and the key would sometimes get stuck.

The stabilitrac system on my 2006 Chevy Trailblazer is giving warning lights on the dashboard because of a failure in a read wheel speed sensor and a steering wheel position sensor. These failures occurred just one year after the warranty expired, and I have seen numerous internet posts from other Trailblazer owners with the same problem. This is a safety issue because if the stabilitrac system fails, the vehicle will not safely navigate slick road conditions.

Fuel sensor quit working around 40,000 miles and now the 4WD is no longer working at 43,000. I can't afford $3,000 in repairs and after looking at thousands of similar complaints NHTSA needs to demand recalls as these malfunctions are serious and can result in bodily injury or death.

Traction control lights on and off intermittently. I had a sensor replaced that was located in the steering column behind the airbag and that worked for a few weeks but it is back to going on and off. That sensor and labor cost me $500 total because I had to have it looked at 3 times. Fuel gauge always reads empty. I have done some research on the fuel gauge problem and there are a ton of the same problems out there. This should be a recall immediately. I have to get the fuel pump and sensor replaced at a cost of $800 to $1000. The trouble started at about 55,000 miles. Shame on Chevrolet for letting this go on. They know about the problem and wont do a recall to help the little guy. All I've ever owned is Chevy's....but no more!!!
