Trailblazer LT 6 cyl

  • Automatic transmission

There is a notch in the center of the gutter lip under the weather strip. When it rained heavily and vehiclewas parked downhill, water went under weather strip and dripped on value cover and because of the overhead cam, it became a swimming pool. After a while there was a high water mark on the coils and corrosion which caused the arc of the spark plugs causing misfiring of the cylinders. Had to replace all coils and plug. Installed a cut-out heater hose over the entire weather strip and notch in the channel.

If the notch was not there, the water would not have gone into the value cover swimming hole.
