Window wipers began turning on, on their own periodically. As time has gone by, they stay on longer and longer and now the fluid is being released. I look like an idiot driving down the road with my fluid pouring out and window wipers on non-stop during summertime. The fluid is coming out so much it is difficult to see while driving, definitely a hazard!! Only after about 15 minutes of driving can I turn the on/off lever and the wipers kind of listen.... but not much. This stinks!

Trailblazer LS 4.2L Inline 6

The wipers would turn on and off intermitted, then one day stayed on as soon as the ignition was on. I removed all related fuses and relays, there was still power to the wiper motor. I cut the power wire to the wiper motor and added a switch on the dash to control power on feature, all other controls work thru wiper switch on steering column.

I purchased this vehicle in January of 2012. I have had nothing but problem after problem with it. From the air and heater not working for a year to the windshield wipers staying on and will not shut off. However, I was able to get the 1 recall fixed that had occurred in Oct of 2012. It was the driver's door panel switch. Subject to catch on fire.
