Traverse LS 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

I get the warning every once in a while, my van will start bucking and would lose power. It's very scary!

Traverse 1LT

  • Automatic transmission
  • 47,069 miles

Made appointment with Dealership (mistake number one) because Orange light for car with swerving lines came on with notifications in display saying "Traction Control Off", "Service Traction Control", and Service Stabilitrac". Car at moments felt like it would stagger or stutter when shifting between 2nd & 3rd gear.

Highly dissatisfied with Rick Hendrick of GA especially since I am part of the GM Family and this is my 3rd Chevy out of my past 4 cars. I would not recommend their sales or service department, both unreliable and incompetent.

Rick Hendrick's diagnosis for a service charge of $140: Found vehicle has history codes for the steering angle sensor not reading properly. Recommend replacing steering angle sensor $448.07 and complete fuel system cleaning which includes cleaning and re-calibrating the throttle position sensor $295.

Used remote start to warm our 2016 Traverse (32300 miles) up. Shortly after starting to drive messages for Service Traction Control/Stability warnings appeared on the screen and vehicle had no power and made a jerking, hopping sensation when stepping on the gas. Took vehicle to Automotive Service Center. They said no codes were detected. Messages still showing on message center. While waiting for technician to come back just for the heck of it we used the remote to lock the doors and pushed the button to start the car using the remote. The car started and the message warnings were gone. We told the technician what we did and he said great. He was looking for a way to erase the hard message on the screen when we performed our remote restart that fixed it.

Not sure if it will happen again but worth a try if the same situation happens for anyone else.
