The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated when she depressed the accelerator following a traffic stop the vehicle was not gaining forward momentum. The contact stated the vehicle was driving at a maximum of 15 MPH. The contact stated that as she depressed the accelerator the vehicle would not even rev. The contact stated the check engine, parking brake and stability tract lights were illuminated. The contact was able to drive the vehicle to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the failure as insufficient fuel to the engine from the fuel pump. The mechanic determined that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The contact was advised by the mechanic that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V639000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) and referred the contact to a dealer. The contact called a local dealer who advised her that her VIN was not part of the VIN selection. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
