The rear middle seat belt locks up if you fold the back seats down to haul anything. You can't get the seat back up without taking it to the dealership. Hadn't had my vehicle a year and then they want to charge me almost $500 to repair. A seat belt locking up is a serious safety issue.

In passenger front seat when someone is sitting there the seatbelt will just undo on its own at times. Also the person will weight over 100lbs and the air bag light indicator will go to on and off.

The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Trax. On three different occasions, the rear driver's and middle seat seat belts failed to latch. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer (puente hills Chevrolet, 17300 gale ave, city of industry, ca, 91748) where it was diagnosed that the seat belt failed and needed to be replaced. The rear driver's seat belt was replaced as a courtesy, but the failure recurred. The middle seat seat belt also failed. The same dealer was notified and did not assist. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was unknown.
