Trax LS 1.4L Turbo

  • Automatic transmission
  • 82,000 miles

Had no issues beforehand, it was always maintained (not at a dealership). It was making a clicking noise one night, and we checked the oil. Noticed it was low and we added a quart of oil and was going to call the dealership the next day to set up an appointment to have it checked out. The next day, I am driving home from work and the heat starts to get unusually hot and the motor starts slipping. I immediately pull over and shut the motor off. We decided to have it towed because there was zero oil in the motor at this time. Towed it to the dealership where it wasn't covered under a warranty anymore (60k miles) and we had no choice but to let them figure out what was wrong with it. Come to find out the cylinder 3 ring went out and the intake gasket went out and GM wont help us because we weren't "loyal" customers. Now we are stuck with virtually a brand new car and we have to replace the motor.
