If the exterior thermostat detects the temperature is at or below 37 degrees Fahrenheit, the A/C compressor will turn off and all of the windows (windshield included) will fog up. Resulting in extremely reduced visibility. If the exterior thermostat detects the temperature of 38 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, the A/C compressor will enable and the windows would immediately clear.
