200 Convertible

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

90K ETC (electronic throttle control) light came on, car went from 20mpg to 16mpg, then stopped. ETC replaced and 500 miles later, same issue. This car has major electrical issues. Both headlights heat up after 5 minutes of running time. I'm patching it up and selling it. Won't get another Chrysler again.

200 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

Went to start the Chrysler 200 hardtop convertible yesterday. Lower half of all gauges (EVIC, Fuel Gauge, Warning Light Array, and Transmission Indicator (PRNDL Display) are out. Only speedometer and tachometer work. Checked both fuses for the Instrument Panel. Both fuses okay. Battery was dead this morning. Replaced battery, gauges still inoperative. Conducted test of the display panel which failed twice. Repair shop says alternator passed and is okay. This has been a great car up to now. In fact, I was getting ready to have a complete body ding repair and repaint to keep it for the wife. She loves the car. We have an extended warranty on the car that we bought when we paid cash for the car in 2012. I will post the results of the search for the problem.
