200 Touring V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 66,000 miles

Turned on the wipers and they started wiping half way and stopping. They would not work completely unless they were on high. Finally stopped wiping at all. After a few seconds started wiping again but only on high. Had a hard time getting them to the off position. The wipers are new.

200 LX

  • CVT transmission
  • 50,000 miles

The wipers randomly swipe; day, night, rain, no rain, when turning, going forward, reverse, with steering wheel in any position, with heat on or off or with AC on or off. Sometimes swipes once other times will swipe 3 or 4 times. Took it to the dealer and they could not recreate the problem (surprise there). They were unable to fix the problem or have a solution.

I like my Chrysler 200 - mostly. The wipers starting swiping on their own when I put my left blinker on. Then they would swipe when it was left or right blinker. Then, they would just swipe anytime they pleased - day, night, turning, straight, slow speed, fast speed. I took it in for service in Jan/13 and they replaced the Totally Integrated Power Module/Power Distribution Center. I drove out of dealer and w/in 5 mins, the phantom swipe returned. Service Center says no one knows what it is and can find no similar issues in their data base. Either it is a dead relative trying to channel my vehicle or someone out there has reported this and Chrysler has a resolution and still has not shared it with my dealer. UGH
