As a first time car owner, I was happy to purchase a brand new vehicle! There was 65km on the odometer when driven off the lot and although I did a bit of research, I didn't see the alternator as a particular issue in any of the blogs. I was very surprised that it would have given out just over 1 year after purchase, to be honest, I knew there would be kinks but that seems to be a fairly significant one.

I was told I should write to Chrysler saying this but by the looks of other comments on this site, it seems they don't acknowledge culpability unless they have to and do nothing otherwise. Pretty crap customer service if you ask me.
