This is the second time I've had to pay to replace the ABS hub (complete axle) due to rust/rotting. When the ABS ring rust or rots, the ABS module becomes confused and activates intermittently. I was driving the vehicle and the brakes locked intermittently causing a very dangerous situation. I stopped thinking that it would reset something but it happened again. I had to take it to a repair shop once again and now I've had to pay over $1,000 for the rear axles and now $1,000 for the front. Axles have to be replaced each time. These rings should not simply rot and cause a dangerous situation!

When the transmission is cold the vehicle stalls having no control over forward or reverse motion with dangerous side bound traffic instances while refusing to shift with rwd rear axel severe vibration sensitivity causing total rwd rear axel power loss & coiciding transmission abnormalities. Powertrain malfunctions/dysfunctions resulting in a dangerously faulty suspensions stability & braking pressure strength causing pull in passenger side direction where vehicle seems dangerously the weakest & exhaust fumes abnormally recycling into vehicle cab system. Only has 140K original miles. Manufacture defects now becoming death trap & safety disaster to potential lives of others.

On my way to work I stopped and put $15 dolalrs in the tank I was just below a half tank now. I drove roughly 5-10miles and when I was driving around 30mph the oil can light came on and then my steering got tight and brakes got tight. It was like they went out. My car engine then shut off and I coasted to the shoulder the best I could. This almost caused a large accident. I tried starting the car immediately after it made noise but would not start a couple minutes later I started it and the car started fine.

The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300. While driving approximately 40 mph, the steering wheel seized and the brake pedal failed to engage without warning. The vehicle stopped independently. The vehicle was towed to the dealer on several occasions; however, the failure was unable to be determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 140,000.

2006 Chrysler 300. Bought this car for my 16 year old daughter to drive. The car starting stumbling and stalling at random times, and speeds, once while driving at 80 mph the rpms dropped to 0 and the check engine light flashed; it always just flashes. Then just as fast as the rpms dropped to zero it came right back up. The car jumped forward like I floored the peddle. I have managed to capture this on video, because it went on acting this way for several miles. Then it was fine for about another 150 miles. Then. It returned. I have taken it to the dealer 3 times and they say no codes no problem, the forth time it happened I got a code U0100 and P0700. With my scan tool but again dealer says they cant find anything wrong and there is no codes. When asked how was the check engine light on if there were no codes. The answer was they did not know. This problem still is present to this day. It still stalls and shuts down at any given speed. Rather its parked or running 80. The car use to restart ok but now the restarting is becoming an issue. I just made the first payment on it a few days ago. I bought this car from a Dodge dealer. Here's what I am going to do. Its well documented (by me and the dealer) that this car has a problem. They say its safe, they say no codes no problems. So im going to continue driving it and if something goes wrong (heaven forbid) Chrysler will be funding my retirement. So thanks Chrysler. I'm trusting you and your representatives. You say no codes no problem. Please consider this another piece of documentation.

Vehicle was parked in garage. Had been driven home at 11:30P.M. and woke up to fire in the garage at 1A.M. entire home and contents were lost. We had to jump from 2nd story windows to escape our home. Fire department and fire marshals felt that fire began in the garage and found it undetermined, but told us that they felt strongly that it was the vehicle. We contacted our insurance company with info we found online that stated the braking problem was being recalled. They stated that they had no information to pursue. Car was also a total loss. Is there anything more we can do to find out why this recall #06V149000 was never sent to us? had we known we would have parked the vehicle away from our home!!!! and would have gladly taken it in for repair that was needed. Vehicle will not shift into gear from park. No warning lights are illuminated on the dashboard, there is nothing indicating there is any issue. Pressing the brake does not seem to unlock the shift lock mechanism that would allow me to shift into gear. Contacted Chrysler group and was informed that although there have been recalls for the same problem in other model years, the 2006 model year is not currently covered.

I purchased the used car on July 20,2013 from car center in waldorf, md. One week of driving the car I had to fill the gas tank up. Once I started to drive it the car began to stumble and shut off on me while I was driving. I immediately called car center and I was given a loaner car 08/01/13 and the car was supposedly taken to waldorf Ford and Dodge to have it looked at. I called the waldorf Ford and Dodge to discuss my car. They told me the only thing they did was cut a new key for the car, which I had them fax me the receipt of the work done. My car shut off another 2 times while I was driving, just after fueling. When I personally dropped the car off at waldorf Jeep and Chrysler dealership the technician told me that I'm not the first one to complain about my car shutting of while driving, just after filling up my gas tank. I asked him was there a recall on the car that was not done. He said they're investigating it. I asked him what do I do in the meantime, his [xxx] answer just don't fill it all the way up. On 04/16/14, my car stalled in the middle of a busy highway while I had the green light to cross it. We were almost side swiped by another vehicle because they're light turned green and I couldn't get the car started in time to get out of the way. I no longer feel that this is "safe" to drive but yet I'm still stuck with these payments! please help I love the car but want something that is safe to drive. The car was filled up with fuel and no more than 2-5 miles from the gas station while driving the engine cut off with no warning while in traffic. Was able to restart the engine and continue on and within a mile it stalled out again in traffic. This time the car would not start. The car was pushed to the side of the road. The oil pressure light was also coming on so did not want to push the car and cause further damage. After 45 mins I restarted the car fine and was able to drive 1 mile before it stalled out at a stop sign. Again no warning and the car lost all power and you were unable to stop the car easily or turn the wheel since all power was lost. The oil pressure light did come on again but did not occur until after the car engine cut off and all power was lost. This time I checked the oil and the level was fine but I still added an extra quart of oil. Then within 5 mins I was able to start the car and drive it the rest of the way 1-2 miles to the dealership. Upon arriving at the dealership we checked the error coded. The dealership than changed the oil and did a full inspection and drive of the car and was unable to reproduce the issue I was seeing before going to the dealership.

After fueling vehicle, car stalls several times shortly after leaving gas station. Must stop, turn car off, then back on each time. After driving around 3-4 miles, problem dissipates. Always fill car on slowest setting on nozzle and remove when clicks off ( never overfill). This is very unsafe.
