The contact owns a 2012 Chrysler 300. While driving approximately 25 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who diagnosed that the alternator and battery needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14V634000 (electrical system). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 36,500.

The contact owns a 2012 Chrysler 300. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, strong persistent smell of acid was emitted into the vehicle and shortly after the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was unable to restart. The vehicle was towed to dealer. The technician diagnosed that the alternator was defective and would need to be replaced. The failure persisted and the contact had the vehicle towed back to the dealer who stated that the battery and one of the battery lines were serverly corroded and would need to replace. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of this failure. The failure mileage was 40,000 and the current mileage was 50,000.
