problem #1

Dec 172020

300 S 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,447 miles

I had several accounts where the forward collision system engages the active brake with no vehicle or obstacle in front of the car.

I got my car 2019 Chrysler 300 S in January 2020. This year I complained about this several times had the car 3 times at Johnston Chrysler in Hamilton. They exchanged a module and the radio which has also a minor malfunction, now we are waiting for another module to exchange. The technicians could not find anything in his computer or any damages in the wirings.

This Thursday I had a very frightening experience, when my car suddenly engaged the FCW and hit the Brake hard while passing a truck on the QEW highway at a speed of 120 km and the car behind me almost crashed in the middle barrier of the highway. Again no vehicle was in front of me at all. I am now afraid of driving my car on the highway until I am sure it is absolutely safe. Had it today again at Chrysler, they again found no code in the system but are exchanging another module and some sensors. I hope it works this time. This is my 3rd Chrysler 300, and never had any problems, but Chrysler should seriously find out what happened there.

This could end deadly!!!
