The contact owns a 1999 Chrysler 300M. While driving approximately 15 to 20 mph the vehicle stalled, the oil light came on and the steering wheel locked. He shifted the vehicle into park gear and restarted the vehicle. The vehicle restarted and within a few minutes it stalled again after several attempts. Two days after the failure he took the vehicle to an authorized dealer who confirmed that the egr valve caused the failure to occur. The vehicle was not repaired since the parts are on backorder. The dealer does not know when the parts will be available. The approximate failure mileage was 111,000 and the current mileage was 111,065.

1999 Chrysler 300M - have had the car since 2002. About a year ago we noticed it would stall during operation then immediately restart. Now it has gotten worse. It just stops while at highway speeds, during city driving or even at a light. Usually re-starts right away but lately it takes about 10 minutes before re-start is possible. Took to Dodge dealer and they cannot find the problem. I won't allow my wife to drive the car as it is too dangerous. Any feedback on what the problem is would be greatly appreciated.

Engine died as I was making a left hand turn. Pulled to the curb and tried to restart the engine. Engine would turn over but not start. Car towed to local mechanic who diagnosed problem as defective crankshaft sensor. Hard to steer with the engine dead. Not sure if my wife could have turned the car or not. Extremely dangerous.

The contact owns a 1999 Chrysler 300M. During an oil change, the mechanic noticed that the tread for the drain plug was wearing thin and the oil pan and plug needed to be replaced. Chrysler is aware of the failure and stated that it only occurs with the 300M and concorde vehicles. The tool that mechanics use to perform the oil changes is the cause of the failure because it damages the tread. Chrysler stated that she would have to pay $575 plus tax for the replacement. The contact informed them to tape the pan and plug instead. She filed a complaint with the manufacturer. The current and failure mileages were 94,815. Updated 12/12/2007 updated 12/12/07

While driving at highway speeds of 65-75, car stops running. After pulling off the road, it restarted after 30 minutes. Mechanic could find no cause. No problems for 2-3 days of driving and it did it again stranding my daughter-in-law and her baby. Mechanic replaced fuel pump. A couple of days later it happens again. Mechanic now has the gas tank off the car. I have seen 9-10 similar cases for the 99 300 and later years. Help! this is dangerous and costly.

The evaporator coil needs to be replaced. 1 month after I purchased this vehicle used, I returned it to the dealership because I was having problems with the A/C making a whistling noise and not cooling properly.it was still under warranty at this point and they found nothing wrong. I took it back 2 more times since then and finally on the 3rd try they diagnosed it as a evaporator coil.I am trying to get the dealership/Chrysler to pay, we'll know tommarrow.
