: the contact stated while slowing down to 15 mph, the transmission shifted into first gear and would not shift out of that gear. A clunking noise was heard and the vehicle would not accelerate over 20 mph. It was driven to the dealer who determined the transmission needed to be rebuilt and a repair kit needed to be added.

There is rust inside the trunk lid and the rear passenger doors, causing the doors and trunk lid not to latch properly. Consumer noted it wasn't the rust but a defect from the manufacturer which causes the door not to close. The paint was chipping and peeling. There were, two different color white finishes. The shifter cable broke and was repaired.

This car has now been serviced 3 times for a recurring transmission leak. One of which was so severe that the car had to be towed to the dealer for repair. They occurred on 4/25/03, 4/30/03 and 10/03/03.

The car has on the latest being, the fourth occasion noted being able to go into drive or reverse. There seems to be a recurring leak in the transmission system.
