The shifter would appear to be in park and you could take keys out of car. The next morning I went to start my car it would not start, I checked all the usual stuff, gas level, battery then it dawned on me to check the shifter since I was unable in the past to start other cars it must be in a park position (was married to an ase certified mechanic who did loss of restorations) I pulled the level forward and the car started immediately. Over time the shifting from P, R, N, D became more and more difficult to where it stuck in 3rd gear (which I never use) when I had the car towed the floor shifter remained stuck. Yet we were able to push the car out of the driveway as easy as pie. $383.44 later it was the floor shifter and cable.

I have had my 1999 Chrysler Concorde lxi for about a year and a half. It now has 76,000 miles on it. I was pulling out of the parking lot and first noticed the speedometer wasn't working. At that point I kept driving. As I pulled out onto the road and had to accelerate I noticed my RPM's were a little high. The car seemed to be stuck in low gear. I checked the transmission fluid and the fuse for the transmission controller. Both were fine. I had the car towed. I got online and starting researching the car. It turns out that speed sensors in this car fail quite often. I spoke to the previous owner of the vehicle. He told me he already had the speed sensor replaced once just before I bought the car from him. My car is five years old, has 76,000 miles on it, and has had the same part replaced twice already. This is ridiculous. Chrysler should pay to fix their faulty product, not me repeatedly.

Since I purchased a 1999 Chrysler Concorde new, I have had the car in the dealer over 20 times. I have numerous electrical issues, I have been stranded numerous times and I have incurred costs over the last 4 years that not only forced me to rent a car over and over, but the time lost from work is inexcusable. I have had brake failure almost resulting in a car crash. Now, my car is in the dealership due to smoke smell burning wires and a computer and electrical issue. Chrysler states they don't know if they willl pay for this problem. This has been happening since day one and it's dangerous. I am in fear for the safety of my family riding in this car. It is a death trap. This car should have been deemed recalled under the lemon law. I know various people who have the same car and they have had the same problems that Chrysler ignores and fails to deal with it.
