On several occasions, the engine and electronics have completely shutdown while driving 10 to 40 mph, especially during wet weather. It was determined that the problem is caused when the battery gets wet and temporarily shortens out the electrical system. The battery is located in a low location, forward of the passenger-side front tire where it can get wet. Consumer recommends a design change to prevent the battery terminals from becoming wet.
