Concorde LXI 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 8,016 miles

2002 Chrysler Concorde LXI was blowing cold air from the heater even with the controls set at manual Hi, temp outside 30 deg F took to Maple Ridge Chrysler, they changed thermostat and blew through hoses to check for obstruction all o.k.the charge was $ 559.33 Canadian, this did not fix the problem heater still blows cold air. I am not a mechanic but am reasonably mechanically inclined, and asked why they changed the thermostat when engine temp was at operating temp and both heater hoses were hot, I would have suspected the heater core or the blend door not the thermostat. Now they want another $ 1000.00 plus to change the heater core. I am totally fed up with this dealership the mechanic is supposed to be their best mechanic I said if he's the best I would hate to see the others.

The first day, while driving, would blow hot hair, and while at a stop light would blow cold air. yesterday (bad snow day 10.5") On my;what ended up being 4 hr, ride home, it was cold air for the first 1.5 hrs.. then the heat kicked on and it was warm for a good hour, then turned to cold air again... this morning.. it was a good 45 min drive... no heat whatsoever.
