problem #1

Intrepid ES 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 52,817 miles

Transmission has always shifted hard into second when upshifting. Dealer says it's normal, transmission shop says it isn't, but due to a poor design by Chrysler, the fluid pumped through the system can't fully reach where it needs to be for just that one gear during an upshift. So, he suggested adding about 0.5 - 1 litre of additional fluid, and sure enough, it solved the problem!
