PT Cruiser GT 2.4 Turbo

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,000 miles

I had just purchased the car in January and by the time the warm weather came around, my air conditioning had ran out quick.

After a refill of refrigerant and a dye test, the A/C emptied out after about a month. The dye revealed a leak along the line that connects the accumulator to the condenser. It is also leaking at the condenser and we're not sure if that is a leak from the condenser, which will quickly increase the repair cost, or a leak at the connection due to a bad line and O-rings.

This job will cost about $1,200, and so far, I managed through a scorching summer with windows down and am thankful it's near winter.
