For over a year I have been spending money to fix my Chiseler 2006 PT Cruiser, all the cluster lights and bells go off and no ones has the answer to it. Also stalls. HELP PLEASE, I'm scared to drive it and no money left to get new car.

problem #1

Nov 062014

PT Cruiser GT Convertible 2.4L 4 cyl

  • Manual transmission
  • 67,000 miles

Intermittently, the dash will lose power, all gauges go to zero. Within 1 second, all the idiot lights come on, the gauges come back to normal, and the idiot lights go back out. Sometimes, all this is accompanied by the engine stalling, sometimes it doesn't stall. Occasionally, the car will go for several days without any symptoms. 2 Chrysler dealers have looked at it. Neither has found anything. No codes either.

We've replaced the starter/solenoid, had the computer updated, battery tested. No help. Latest dealer wants to change the instrument cluster for $950. This forum shows that doesn't help. There are literally dozens of people with this problem just on this forum. Imagine how many there must be that don't know about this forum. Contact me if you have found a solution to this. I'm tired of throwing money at this with no results.
