The contact owns a 2006 chrylser PT CRUISER. The contact stated that the air conditionaer would not blow cold air. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the contact was informed that the evapurator was leaking and needed to be replaced. The mechanic notified an authorized dealer and was informed that all of the parts were on back order. The manufacturer was then notified and the contact was informed that all vehicles under 70,000 miles would be covered, under warranty, for the repairs. After informing the manufacturer of the mileage, they denied to cover the repairs under the warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 50,000. Joann graham. Updated 09/07/2011

I have 2006 PT CRUISER and I am having tons of electrical problems sometimes the stereo will not work.brake light stays on and run the battery down. If you have the dome light one and put your blinker on to the right the light goes out doesn't do it on the left, the ignition switch sometimes hangs up and will not turn stuck for a little before I can get it to turn over and start, then the ac spouse had to rewire it because the compressor wasn't kicking on and off, I have always owned a Chrysler and after this experience if Chrysler is not will to help repair the vehicle I would not own another, my husband is out of work and I cant afford to repair all the issues this car has..... this could be a fire hazard waiting to happen.

The speedodometer dropped to zero. Comes and goes and the dealer can not get a reading because it does not do it when they check it. Next the ac kicks in and out of cool air. Next while driving down the road the car dies. I had to put it in neutral and manually turn because it died. I nearly hit a cement wall. Now the dealer says he can not find anything wrong.
