problem #1

Dec 272013

PT Cruiser Limited 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 70,000 miles

This is my retired mother's car and has had this problem for awhile, but the problem has recently been brought to my attention. The car's warning lights come on, starting with the seat belt light and then the other lights, the gauges zero out and then the car shuts off. This happens while driving. How long before my mother or others are injured or killed because of this malfunctioning vehicle? She has taken it to a couple of Chrysler dealers and a few more independent mechanics. No one could help her because the car doesn't act up while they run their test. I thought someone might have had a similar problem and posted a solution, but I couldn't believe the number of complaints with the exact same problem and no one could help them either. This is a serious problem and Chrysler should be held accountable. My mother cannot afford to buy another vehicle, nor does she want to endanger the lives of others by selling or trading this vehicle for another vehicle. DO THE RIGHT THING CHRYSLER, RECALL THE 2006 PT CRUISERS.
