Pacifica

  • 159,000 miles
While driving on busy road in the rain on 3 different occasions my headlights went out for no apparent reason...I did not realize that they had gone out until I was pulled over by a state trooper and given a ticket...also when my tank reaches 1/2 full the needle will drop to empty and the gas light will come on warning me that I have run out of gas even though I have 1/2 tank of gas in there, almost caused a pile up on the highway...low tire pressure light stays on even when I put air in all 4 tires.

The contact owns a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica. When the contact starts the vehicle, the fuel gauge dial fluctuates up and down at random. The fuel light illuminates and a sound is heard as well. The dealer stated that the fuel gauge pedometer failed. The contact was informed that there were no recalls, but learned of a technical service bulletin. He believes that the vehicle should be under a recall for this failure. The dealer refused to repair the vehicle; therefore, the contact was responsible for the repair cost. The failure mileage was 68,729. Updated 6/9/08
