Pacifica Sport Tourer 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 78,300 miles

We bought the car used from a dealer in a local town. There was no transfer of the vehicle warranty for us. We have no real problems with the car besides a blown headlight occasionally. THEN all hell breaks loose the car doesn't even have 80000 miles on it yet. This is what happened next. A cracked flex plate according to the Chrysler dealership (BRICKNER Chrysler Center) in Wausau Wisconsin (715) 842-4646. Engine misses between 2-3k rpm checked codes, P0016 Crank/Cam Timing misalignment DRB shows crank / cam are in sync, They checked star online removed and inspected cam sensor, wiring, all looks ok. called Chrysler reported findings they said (Chrysler) flex plate is starting to crack. WHY IS THIS? How can they know that it is starting to crack if they don't drop the trans and inspect it visually. It will cost us around a thousand dollars to fix. The actual part is only around 50 bucks but the labor is what kills you (8.5 hours)
