problem #3

Jun 202016

Pacifica Touring 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 137,000 miles

Started using the AC this year and it went downhill fast. I believe the compressor seized, which caused damage to the clutch, which then made hourendous noise when the engine was running (with A/C off).

Pacifica Touring 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission

It is hot in the summer and cold in the winter, because air won't come out of vents in the dash.

Pacifica Touring 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 102,400 miles

My wife has been telling me for three weeks that she can smell wires burning inside the car. Since I'm a diesel mecanic she asked me to drive it and see if I could smell the burnt smell. So I did, with a sinus infection (couldnt smell a dang thing. wife really asked me nicelly.) I really couldn't smell anything. We dont have another car for her to drive for her work. Yesterday, she calls me and said the A/C quit working. Then this morning she called me a said the heater doesnt work niether. So in a nut shell, we smelt burnt wires. And the A/C-Heater does not work. The blower DOES blow. I need some input before i tear into the dash. Please and Thank you.
