I have a 2005 chyrsler Pacifica. The gas pedal is sticking. It sticks hard enough that you have to forcefully push the accelerator peddle down. This causes unwanted rapid acceleration! the problem is getting worse in the past three weeks. The pedal has gotten stuck four times. I was backing out of a parking space and the car accelerated in reverse. Unsure, if my family car is safe, for my family.

I own a 2005 Pacifica touring edition. A couple months ago it stalled out and said I was out of gas. I figured someone might have suffered the gas from my tank so I went and filled up and it only took 7 dollars of gas. Tank read half tank. Within 50 miles, car stalled and said it was empty again. Went to gas station again and it only took 12 dollars of gas. The last straw was I was on the interstate and it stalled in the fast lane going up hill. We almost got hit by a tractor trailer. We drifted back into median and had car towed to the shop. They said nothing is wrong except for the fact I was out of gas but they could not find any leaks. I left there went to gas station, only a mile away, and it took 3 dollars to fill it up! this happens on a frequent basis and every shop says there is nothing wrong. Obviously there is something wrong! I read other reports with the same problem! so what can be done to fix problem" why hasn't Chrysler recalled the fuel pump or whatever is causing the problem??" if this doesn't get fixed soon, someone is going to be seriously injured or killed by their car stalling! please fix this problem Chrysler!

I own a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica. After filling the vehicle with fuel, the car will surge, lunge, and sometimes die. This happens every time the fuel tank is filled. I have had the vehicle in to service it more than 4 times, the latest time the dealer has had it over a week and cannot find the problem. The gas tank has been replaced, all fuel lines cleaned, pistons cleaned, fuel pump replaced, software flashed. All recalls have been performed. This is a major life/safety hazard, as the last time it happened I was turning left against traffic.

I just took my 2005 Chrysler pacific in due to the gas pedal sticking. The gas pedal would stick and I would have to press on it hard in order for it to work. This would happen almost everytime I started up my car. The service person stated that there was some type build up due to wear and tear on the vehicle. I only have 42,000 miles on my car. I paid for the repair (approx $190) because my warranty didn't cover the problem. I can't believe that at 42,000 this would happen.

I have a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica touring edition AWD with approximately 48,000 miles. This past week, my vehicle started stalling at stops. After my spouse took it to a car repair facility, they could not find any codes. She stated she had 1/2 tank of fuel showing. I had to rent a trailer to pick the vehicle up and drop it off at the dealer. When I started the vehicle the fuel gauge went from 1/2 to empty. I dropped it off at the dealer and they performed the repairs for the stalling problem. When I picked up the car, the service technician told me they had to put $10 dollars of fuel in it cause it was showing empty and that the tank low fuel light was on. According to the trip indication of fuel mileage, it said I had 18 miles until empty. I started the car and the fuel gauge went to 1/2 tank! okay problem here!! I had the technician put it back on diagnostic and showed no codes and fuel quantity was at 18 miles left according to the computer. I went straight to the gas station and attempted to fill the tank, it only took 6.73 gallons and would not take any more. I called the dealer and they said it was the tank sending units (2ea) that would have to be replaced. Looking at other complaints, we all have a problem with this model and year.

First noticed gas gage suddenly dropped from 3/4 tank to empty, low fuel warning and check engine light came on. Fuel gage would again rise up to full then drop to empty. Called dealer who asked for my VIN number and told me my car was not subject to recall. Gas gage is no longer functioning at all & I have no idea how much gas I have in my tank - I'm unable at this point to afford the repair. New problem has arisen, yesterday and today my car has stalled, causing me to engage park and restart my engine. First time I was going up a small hill and this morning I was maneuvering around a round about. Seems very similar to other reports on this particular model and those who have registered a complaint.

2005 Chrysler Pacifica has stalled 4 times. Each time the vehicle had been brought to a complete stop at a stop sign, then the vehicle stalled. Vehicle was put in park and restarted. I noticed that each time the vehicle had approximately 1/4 tank of gas or less. The last two times it stalled I put $7 of gas in the vehicle and the gas gauge showed 1/2 tank. Obviously this is not likely as it takes approximately $50 to fill the tank. After approximately 45 miles the gas tank gauge went from 1/2 tank to 1/8 tank in the blind of an eye. Also, vehicle was only getting approximately 200 miles for a full tank. Vehicle is currently at the dealership, however, at this point the dealership is saying that they cannot "recreate" the situation and have a call in to Chrysler to see if they can advise further.

Poping noises at front end on driver and passenger sides, while turning at slow speeds going forward and backing up. Also filled up gas tank, "mileage/guage till empty" was 344, drove one mile and it went to 243. It is currently in the shop again, they are waiting on a part "shaft" to replace it. They usually don't have old parts available because it is still under warranty.
