Sebring 2.4L V6

This is CRAP!!! These cars should be SAFETY RECALLED because this is a hazard that could kill someone. My wife was driving and the rear tire sidewall blew out from rubbing on the spring.

This cannot be the only time this happened. Anyone out there should bitch and storm Chrysler.

The right side went out at about 50,000 miles and I made a steel plate to bolt the shock in place from inside the trunk. This one (left side) is pretty bad and I did the same thing, but the mount for the spring is causing the spring to bend outward somewhat yet, though it doesn't rub on the new tire (YET!).

I have owned Chrysler products all of my life, and this is the end. They have completely gone down the 'crap engineering' road just to save a few pennies on parts that are going to kill people.
