First time this issue occurred we discovered two inches of standing water in the car, had drain tube blown out and dried out interior. Seemed to work fairly well... for a while. Did this about 5 more times normally when in for oil change. Problem was common in summer time, go figure Florida weather= Full blast A/C. Until I moved to NC and found the floor soaking wet in the middle of December... well my A/C isn't running now so take it in to an A/C shop. Back up on the lift, (*notice to convertible owners unless you want winkles in your roof release the latches before it gets lifted) blow out drain tube no water comes out... so much for ten minutes. Several of the men at the shop are now looking at decide to try pouring water down the grills in front of the windshield and it pours right out, their response "well that's not good." after an hour we still don't know the issue so the current "fix" is put a paper towel under the silencer to try to find the leak, should the paper towel become wet/ soaked again the car will go back to the A/C shop for major damage control including ripping out the dash board as nothing on a Chrysler is easy to get to. At this point is now a question of a faulty seal. And just as this fun begins I have noticed an annoying whine at the driver front, associated most often with wheel speed, and when it went in for an overdue oil change was told my oil was leaking in two places and had covered the entire undercarriage when only two days early was complimented on the cleanliness of the undercarriage, I saw it and it was CLEAN! Once the water issue is resolved most of the passenger side carpeting and silencer will be needing a replacement and the floor needs to be resurfaced. don't want to know the amount of money that will be spent here.

We had this problem since we bought the car May 2010. It got worse, the carpet started to mold. Our body man (it WAS NOT covered under warranty) told us it was a bad design. Chrysler needs to fix this.

ANYONE KNOWS IF THIS IS ACCESSIBLE, POSSIBLE TO DO IT AT HOME?

2-DOOR HINGE: ALSO THE DRIVER'S DOOR HINGE MAKES A LOUD CLICK TWICE EVERY TIME THE DOOR OPENS !!! - SOLUTION: REPLACE IT $$$$$$$

Sebring Limited 2.7L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 44,200 miles

A puddle of water appeared under the front passenger seat when we were visiting relatives 250 miles from home during a very hot August. We had to run the air conditioner, and as we ran it more water came in, while I used heavy towels to sop up the water as well as I could. The problem was a loose connection allowing water from the A/C to drain into the car - not covered by our extended warranty. Cost was approx. $15 for two replacement tubes; $150 for silencer; $545 for new carpeting; labor and shop supplies, $139; with tax, total $894.

I purchased my car in summer of 2006. Noticed water under passenger seat about September 2006 b/c I stopped using a/c when Fall came the problem went away. When warm weather came in 2007 this problem started again. Took my car twice to the local dealership to figure out what was causing the water to come in. Even left with dealership for 7 days to have plenty of time to fix. They said they could not figure out what caused this. This upset my husband and words were exchanged between the dealership and my husband. He felt that they should be able to fix a problem with a car that they are supposed to be trained to work on. There response was if we brought the car back to them they would start charging us $80.00 hr. They obviously did not want to help us anymore. After that I just kept a towel under the seat to absorb the water and dealt with it. But since summer is coming again I would like to have this fixed. If any has had this problem please let me know what you had done to fix it.

The dealer unclogged the a/c drain hose and the problem was resolved. It took quite sometime for the smell to go away though.

I will say that I have always had great experiences with the service (and collision) department at Royal Gate Dodge in St. Louis; they are very customer friendly.
