I have called several places to have this problem fixed the cost range from 450 to 600. Soroton's in Jacksonville did get the window up and fixed it to where it will not come down so don't have to worry about rain or anything getting into it. But when I put top down then back up I have to make sure I push the window out in order for top to be able to be latched back down. This should be a recall. I don't work and don't have the money to get this fixed. Please everyone with this problem start calling the dealership or writing bad reviews maybe then they will do a recall. by the way if it is the back windows not only do you need the motor you need the regulator also.

I bought a used 2005 Chrysler Sebring, today 10/11/2015, and already a big issue I find!! Both rear windows won't go down or up, even the last owner wedged these rubber stoppers in between the glass and frame to stop the window from being mobile off the tracks. This should be a RECALL issue if so many are having the same window electrical misfires.

I took the vehicle to dealer today to inquire about fixing. They said, $175.00 for the diagnostics test. Then they can tell me it's a Motor failure, or Something Else. I asked for a guesstimate on total price. Dealer gave me a price for $175.00 + Repairs, looking at $400.00 + ball park... Total being = $575.00 for these blasted windows!

I'm a single disabled Mom, I can't afford outrageous costs like that!

NOW I know why the previous owner had wedged those Rubber Stoppers in between the window frame! Cause it is way to much to fix!

The driver's automatic window does not come back up and at times will not come down or up. The fix if the window is open is to push down on the forward part of the window like you were trying to push the window down. Most of the times it will then go up. Not sure if this is a switch problem or a motor problem or both.

I rolled my windows down to let the heat out. The front window when you let it all the way down the panel has to be taken off and the motor tapped until it will go up again. The back rear passenger window will not go up or down as of 03/24/2012. Tired of these dang windows! Help

Sebring Sedan 3.2L

Not long after I purchased the car, I had 2 windows that would either not roll up or down, and 1 window that wouldn't stay up. I was lucky and the dealer I purchased the car from sent me to a repair shop and paid the bill. The 2 windows were fixed in a matter of minutes but the other needed a motor and complete window assembly. That was not fixed at that time. The part would have to be ordered and then repaired, after approval from the dealer. The dealer decided not to approve their payment of this problem, so I have never had this fixed. I have a small piece of plastic wedged between the window and the door panel that most times keeps it up. It is very upsetting that I have this fairly new car with this problem. It looks bad and is inconvenient when it falls down and I have to manually push the window up. Almost always, its when its raining. It could probably be fixed for under $200 but I am a single mom of three and just cant spare the money. So I just deal with it.

I lowered the roof today and then put it back up, then went to put the windows up and there was nothing, also noticed the brake light on, ABS light on and the air bag light on in the dash. If anyone has any idea how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.

Sebring Convertible

  • Automatic transmission

I am having the exact same problem as the last two posters had. The convertible top and windows were put down and as I got on the freeway I tried to roll up the windows and they did not work. Simultaneously the heater/ac fan and the airbag light went on. I really need a fix for this. I can't afford to have the electrical system gone through. I am hoping there's a simple fix since it seems to be common. Any help from anyone would be great.

Sebring Touring 2.7L V6

When I came home today, I had the top down. I pulled in, put the top up, and tried to roll up the windows. They did not work, as well as the lighted display for the compass, the Fan A/C Heater Fan, & the air bag light was on. Good thing it was not raining !! I am pretty savy about cars, but the electrical distribution system is hard to understand. I checked all the realted fuses, relays, circut breaker and such, and no Luck. Still working on problem, Will post when I fix it. I saw that someone else had the same Problem, Dan in LA. So there must be More for sure..

(reported on)

Sebring

  • Automatic transmission
  • 39,000 miles

Symptoms: I'm driving with the top down, the windows down, and the defroster on because the windshield is fogged up. The airbag light comes on. I park the car, put the top up, notice the blower on the AC/Heater is not blowing on any speed, and the windows won't roll up.

This is the second failure in a 3 month period. The dealership said it was a fuse, but my friend and I checked each fuse with a multitester this time, and couldn't find a bad one. The dealer says bring it in again, and they'll fix it again, but I'm losing faith in them. I've had the car a year, and its been in the shop 4 times already, once for over a month. Every time I have to take it in, I have to take a day off of work, because they won't even look at it on a Saturday. Major pain in the ass!
