Sebring Touring 2.7L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 74,500 miles

Took to my reliable mechanic and after their bump test they found nothing. After i explained the kind of bumps i was going over (small sharp bumps like i was shaking the car more than going up and down) while i heard the rattling in the steering, he put the car on a lift and pinpointed the rack was the noise. Was told it can go for a good bit longer as it will continue deteriorating, but still, no problems with steering at all, i have delayed repairing it until it is more convenient to pay for. Was also told they see Dodge/Chrysler's constantly with steering rack problems, and not to mention the 2.7L notoriety.
