When my husband drives my car, he moves the seat back. When I drive my car, I move the seat forward. This action causes the airbag light on the dash to come on. When I move the electronically controlled seat forward/backward, the airbag light will "sometimes" go off. The NHTSA ref 07V240000 references a recall for the front seat track position sensor. I contacted Chrysler to see if my car is one that has been recalled. I'm told that it is not. I think it should be.

When my husband drives my car, he moves the seat to the very back position. When I drive my car, I move the seat forward. This action causes the airbag light on the dash to come on. When I move the electronically controlled seat forward/backward, the airbag light will go off. The NHTSA ref 07V240000 references a recall for the front seat track position sensor. I contacted Chrysler to have the repair initiated; however, they said my car (although same year, make and model) is not part of the recall.

Rt.1 caribou, Maine driving approximately 55-60 mph in a 2007 Chrysler Sebring. Two (2) passengers. Driving North I struck a black bear in a front end collision as it was crossing the road from my left into my lane. Approximately four-thousand (4,000) dollars in damage was done to the vehicle most of it to the front drivers side of the vehicle, including headlight assembly, hood, grill, drivers side fender and other damage. Bodily injury is to driver only including neck injury and back and shoulder pain. The reason for this complain is due to neither the drivers side airbag nor the passengers side airbag deployed.

I own a 2007 Sebring. I have had the vehicle in a few times for a parking brake light that would come on and for the airbag light that would come on. The dealer was unable to find the source of the problem. While driving on the interstate, I hit a deer. Although the impact occurred while going 60 mph, the airbags did not deploy. Flames were coming out from under the hood and onto my windshield before I even got to the shoulder. I was forced to jump from the vehicle while it was still in motion, to escape the burning car.
