problem #2

Sebring ES 3.2lV6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 55,000 miles

The car would die when I tuned it off. A charge lasted about an hour. Then dead battery again. Nothing wrong with the alternator. 3 new batteries all dead after an hour. Cost $900.00 to finally fix it, plus $150 for the northlake Chrysler dealer to tell me they couldn't find a problem!!!!

Sebring

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,000 miles

Randomly we find in the morning the battery is drained.

Mechanics replaced the batter then on another visit replaced the batter wires. Unfortunately, we did not insist on a complete diagnosis nor was one offered or done. The problem remains and we are uncomfortable now with the mechanic. This is not the way to do it; we are now uncomfortable with the shop close to our house and must continue to seek better talent further away. I would have encouraged them to do a better job, that might have helped.

NOTE to Self: Always insist on a complete diagnosis or decline service... Encourage mechanics to do a complete diagonalize. Find car companies liable for less than production quality features.
