On mon., July 26, 2010 I was driving when the deck light came on. I pulled over, closed the trunk and continued driving. As I pulled into my street, (less than 10 min. Drive), the deck light came on again. I pulled into my driveway, which is on a slight incline, put the emergency brake on, put the car in park, left it running and got out of the car and closed the trunk again, standing behind the car. I then leaned into the car to check the light that says "deck." At that point the car slipped out of gear and started rolling down the driveway. My passenger was able to jump over the console and apply the brake. I suffered severe bruising, scrapes and related injuries. My entire right side of my body suffered injuries and some on the left side, when I hit the pavement. The neighbors, police and emt's all checked the car to make sure the emergency brake was on. It definitely was. You cannot take the gear out of park without applying the brake.
